Operated by the National Park Service’s (NPS) Technical Preservation Services, this unique program offers income tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic, income-producing buildings, and MASON is pleased to support this invaluable program.
Steps include listing the property on the National Register of Historic Places, submitting project details to the NPS, and awaiting the NPS’s project approval. Following construction work, MASON submits part two of the application, which describes the work accomplished and finalizes the amount eligible for tax credits.
One of our recent successes is the Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credit project we developed on behalf of Kunia Camp historic district, which received an award from the Historic Hawaii Foundation in 2018.
